The bar is definitely open...but, now that I hit 49, it feels like I'm not, ahem, up for it. Sigh.
I take about 25mg of extra zinc and a multi that covers the rest of the bases. From what I've read Zinc, not in excess of 50mg a day helps immune system, and prostate heath. (you know you're really old when you have conversations about your prostate- you ain't there). ?
Anyway, age might not be it. Maybe low iron or something else? Maybe a checkup? Agree with the other guy, don't do the big T, too many bad side effects and you might blow a cardo gasket. Some people have good results with low level DHEA, but this is a banned drug too- if you are a pro. It also has side effects, but is probably safer than T.
Low body fat, weights, moderate mileage (40s usually) with about 12-20 mins in the Vo2 Max zone a week, seems to work pretty well for me. I also drink about 3 cups of coffee a day. Caffeine and Sun light, lifts your mood.
50 is more of a #. Some guys go through the "change" younger, some older. I'm kind a glad my sex drive is a little lower. It's just a natural progression and something we have to adjust to. Welcome to mid life! :)
