Anyone actually run a race or is it pretty much these virtual races? Anyone run a fast time?

I had the trots...
Barely made it to the toilet. ?
There was one IRL close to me. I didn't go because I was cooking this morning.

Turkey Trots were outlawed in Connecticut this week.
Probably were some in Florida and the south. Let’s hear
Cancelled..... So I just drank for every Kilometer I missed
First 5K since last year's turkey trot. Ran horribly, but after the rain cleared it was a beautiful warm day in PA. Local races were canceled, so had to drive about 30 minutes to the smaller town race. On the bright side, only one person older than me finished ahead of me. There comes a time when you should pick the kernels of victory out of the chaff of defeat.
There was an in person race in my home park, didn't run in it but I saw it happening while out on my morning run
No races here. Did a long workout and double w/17 total miles. Drank beers, and ate a ton of food and sweets afterwards.
My buddy smashed a virtual Turkey Trot for a 30+ second PR.
I just ran 8- have a angry quad.
Outside the St. Louis city and county it looks like several had in person races. (St. Louis is Demo ran but the Gov is a Rep and has left it up to individual counties and cities on how they want to handle covid for the most part).
Here is a sample. Crap, I should of ran, would of got my old fart AG. :(

I ran an actual Turkey Trot yesterday (South Carolina). There were 4 in my town, all in person (masks on before and after race, staggered starts). It went well. I set a PR, was top 10 overall, and won 1st place Masters. I can't complain. I'm just happy to be able to be out there.
I ran a Turkey Trot, but it was only with the people on my XC team. I ended up running 19:12, which is actually 20 seconds off of my PR. I would say this was fantastic, as this was my first 5k race in quite a long time!

That's a really positive sign for your comeback, EGF. Nicely done. Roughly a 5:37 mile equivalent, but probably worth more for you. Stay with it.
There was a Turkey Trot here (winner broke 17, second and third were around 18:30). I didn't run because two weeks after getting back to running post-Covid, I still have days where I can't go farther than 2 miles at 9:00 pace.
Signed up for the Anaheim turkey trot. I kept waiting for the email saying it would be cancelled but it actually went off. It was nice having something to train for. Since COVID it’s just been a lot of long slow jogs but having this actually got me doing some hard workouts again. It was a staggered start so basically when you get to the start line they would send you off every 15 seconds or so anywhere from 7-830 am. It was on a public bike path and it was chip timed. So as you’re running you didn’t really know if you were beating anyone because people started at various times. You kind of miss the adrenaline rush of the gun and the mass start but it was way better than virtual. I took 2nd oa out of 60 for the 10k 41:46 42yo male. Hey I beat my age at least. 5k winners were in the. High 16s 17s I believe. Nice to keep up a tradition of running a turkey trot and I know I looked good in my brand new track Smith turkey trot tee lol.
I ran a 5k in Manchester NH yesterday. 800 people broken into 3 sections a couple hours apart and a staggered start. I live in Massachusetts, we do not have any races there and are prohibited from entering connecticut, where there were no races anyway and rhode island. As of Saturday, we are not allowed to go to new hampshire either so no more races for a while.
