Lisghtstrike Pro midsole? The glory days of invincible TPU might be numbered. With hope, you'll be able to buy 9s for $55 for at least another year or two.
It seems like two foams, top layer of Lightstrike Pro and bottom layer of maybe Lightstrike? Maybe a TPU plate in between?
Looks expensive, though.
Yea man. Wtf is that. Guess they got out of their mind.
Welp. That’s the end of an amazing show. The fact the Boston is still relatively low stack and a more traditional flat was what made it special.
This... is generic.
Bound to happen at some point, especially with Lightstrike Pro taking over for Boost as the premium foam. Hard to justify your premium tempo shoe not having your latest, best foam.
I’m interested to see if the regular Adios gets the same or similar treatment? Also interested in what the stack height and drop is for this if it is indeed the new Boston.
seems like they have just increased the cushion a bit and made it more of a do it all shoe. excited to see how it comes to life. lets be honest, none of us were actually racing in the boston... it was light weight trainer that we could workout in and run in daily. nothing seems to change... (hopefully!)
Is that real? Some of the styling looks like it was taken from Adidas shoes of several years ago.
There is no way this is real. Sewed-on overlays? Not a chance. The upper is going to be Celermesh or at least be more similar to the Adios 5/Boston 9. No way it looks like this.

maybe but I just ran to my pc and bought two Boston 8s on sale, just in case this is a complete rethink of the boston line.
hopefully they don’t mess with the adios coz we’re starting to run out of flats

mashup of old takumi sen of which they no longer sell in the states.
The Boston was probably the most versatile use of Boost being sub 9oz/size 9 and having effective cushion for 500+miles even for bigger runners. Boston appealed to mass market because of price, versatility, and the durability lowered the per mile price.
The Continental rubber does great on trails remember pre-Hoka Walmsley?
Boston 10 will also have the carbon infused rods like the Adiós Pro. Seems like Adidas is planning major changes on the entire line up based on their lightstrike foams and the rod bars.
In my opinion they had to take risks and do thinks differently if they want to hold up against Nike.
this makes sense actually. tbf if this is the shoe, im pleased with the move forward. adidas started and has been stale for awhile.
The end of an era...
I will remember the Adidas Adizero 3 forever more, I've still 2 unboxed so not time to say goodbye just yet.
I think it would be better if they made this shoes to replace the SL20 because it's using lightstrike and keep the boston like before. I hope they keep the adios in their lineup
Agreed. I love the Boston but at some point you have to keep up with the times. I’m a big Boston fan but has been the same shoe for years and years. I’m interested in seeing what happens to the Adios 6. If this is the Boston 10 I’m less interested in it and more interested in the Adios. Not quite sure I’m digging a +30 mm stack height rockin and rollin tempo shoe.
Why would you not create a new line of shoes, instead of using the Boston name? This is a completely different shoe, so loyal customers will be shocked when they ask for a Boston in their LRS.
But then again, adidas named their carbon racers in the most idiotic way possible...
Sad to see the Boston line go away if this is true.
Completely agree. The Boston 8/9 was as close to perfection as a traditional racing/training flat got. Right amount of Boost and the light strike was a welcome addition.
I was hoping they would leave the Boston alone and let the SL20 be the shoe they mess up.
I guess that was wistful thinking.
Again, this new Boston 10 is irrelevant.
Thank god Nike is still releasing Streaks.
