I have a feeling that Tinman runners have had more improvement than any other coach.

That's laughably false.

This is his 5th year as a pro. He's making over 100k per year. There is no circumstance where he should be losing to a collegiate athlete. You are all forgetting that Tinman put this race together and Grijalva showed up. This wasn't an NAU race that Tinman spur of the moment came to.
I don't have any problem with Drew Hunter. In fact I am rooting for him. That's why he needs to change his coach RIGHT NOW. Tinman is holding him back.
Last time I checked you didn't get a head start for making 100k/year or inviting someone to your race. Would. you be happier if they didn't let NAU run and Drew won in 7:48. Of course not. This was a race to see where you are not for place.
I have noticed that pretty much every coach is holding their athlete back. Especially when their athletes aren't running well. Remember when we all thought that Raczko was holding Webb back? He never came close to those times under another coach.

I’m curious to know how Tinman supporters can claim they have drastically improved. Not a little but a lot.
All they have is good marketing
Feel free to list a few guys improvement at BTC or other places as compared to some of the guys at Tinman. How about guys like Fischer and Austin as compared to Fisher and Lomong. Take your pick.

Tinman:
Reed Fischer at Drake - 13:48/28:47 graduating in 2017
Reed Fischer as a pro - 13:43/28:23 as of 2020
Brogan Austin at Drake - 13:59/29:32 graduating in 2015
Brogan Austin as a pro - 13:56/29:09 as of 2020
And there are many Tinman guys that barely have improved at all (Barrazza, Gida)
BTC:
Grant Fisher went from 3:39 -3:36 and 13:29 to 13:11 in one year
McGorty went from 3:40 to 3:36 and 13:24 to 13:11 in 2 years
Mo Ahmed dropped more than 5 seconds in the 1500 this year alone. 13:28 in college to 12:47 in the 5k.
Karissa Schweizer went from 15:17 to 14:26 in 2 years. She also dropped more than 10 seconds off her 1500.
It's really no comparison. Tinman sucks.
Pretty sure Lomong hasn’t improved his 800 or 1500 in close to 10 years. I think you move up when that happens. He’s running fast for 5-10k now though.

So BTC is doing a better job at developing than Tinman.
Fischer and Brogan are in a different category in my mind. They are road runners who aren’t wasting their time running 13:40 on the track. Reed will be a solid marathoner in the years to come. Austin I’m not as familiar with to be honest.
Here’s my point:
BTC develops their guys better than Tinman.
But don’t sleep on Reed and Austin. They are mature unlike the memes on Tinman who are running NCAA qualifying indoor times.
Austin won the USA Marathon in 2018 while working a full time job.. He was only a decent college runner.

News to me, good for him!

Brogan Austin could only manage 48th at the Olympic Trials in the marathon. Reed Fischer was in 98th. Great coaching, Tinman.
Where did BTC guys finish?
I found a weird connection back to the race. Austin is from Iowa and he and Fischer both ran at Drake in Des Moines. The pacer in this 3k was Jackson Lewis who is from Des Moines and who ran every high school state meet and drake relays at Drake stadium. Who is his coach? His high school PRs were only 4:25/9:36/16:05 and now at 20 years old, he is pacing professionals and college runners to a 7:42?

And Lomong still has the speed to win championship races-
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nwz6jvpDXK8&ab_channel=NBCSportsDrew is 50m back in 5th place.
If Tinman can't develop Drews speed, Drew will continue to be a nonfactor.
Hunter would crush Chelimo in an 800. Chelimo would crush Hunter in a 5k. Your idea of what is necessary for a good 5k is incorrect.

Contrary to popular belief, the "T" in BTC stands for TRACK, not ROADS.

My idea of being good in a 5k is winning a 5k, not an 800.
From their front page - The Bowerman Track Club, supported by Nike, is one of the premier running clubs in America. It is composed of a world class professional team, a national level elite team and large and competitive youth and master’s divisions. The club supports a diverse and inclusive community of runners as they pursue their dreams in track, cross-country and road racing. The club also aims to grow the sport of running through it’s events, camps and community outreach.
And maybe you didn't realize that an oval running track is merely one type of track. A track is no more than any path travelled by people or animals. A cross country course is a track. A marathon course is a track.
And you would be correct as compared to the poster that I responded to who claimed that Hunter requires more speed to be closer to Chelimo in a 5k.
