What a shame Drew, as a now-23-year-old, owns his home in Boulder. What a shame that adidas financially set him up for life right out of high school. What a shame Drew didn't prostitute himself to Oregon, hoping he could hold together well enough physically for four or five years to get some sort of pro contract upon graduation. He took the funny money and literally ran with it. Great for him.
Someone commented that Tinman is an out-of-state coach. Didn't he relocate to Boulder?
I may have missed it when skimming through all previous entries, but I don't think anyone mentioned the fact that TWICE, not once, Drew smoked Grant in track races - the Brooks 2-miler, of course, but also the 2015 USATF Junior Nationals 1500, when Blake Haney won, Drew was second, and Grant was third. (I don't think Drew and Grant have raced against one another since then.)
It's only a matter of time before a disgruntled Fisher fanboy, or fangirl, chimes in that once again Grant wasn't trying to do well in that USATF race, so the fact that Drew beat Grant for a second time is inconsequential. Yeah, sure.
Looking forward to Drew and Grant and Luis and Nico and Sean McGorty and...and...and so on going at one another in competition. More power and wealth to 'em. And success, though I'm a Drew fanboy, so I have my preferences.
