Meh. They were okay.
They come up a lot on my iHeartRadio streaming, so I must like a lot of stuff like them, but they're just okay.
Side note: they played at my high school when I went there. That was before they made it real big.

i mainly have no interest in journey. But seperate ways, given I really don't know the words, Is probably also a hit. as far as bands some people were still listening to in the 80's I vote the scorpions were better. Though I really never listen to Judas Priest any more.
I want to go on a journey in search of a rarity car. What do you recommend?
Their greatest hits album will be the soundtrack for the Epstein movie.

One of the most iconic songs of all time in don’t stop believing. It became an iTunes top hit
So many top 10 hits
Rock and roll hall of fame inductee
Escape was a #1 album
Raised on radio was a top hit
The list goes on and on!
1) Steve Perry is one of the most iconic rock singers ever.
2) Neal Schon is perhaps the most underrated rock guitarists ever.
3) It is kind of a thing to crap on Journey -- not as much as it is for Nickelback, but it's still a thing.
4) Journey was (with Perry) was a great band.
5) I like Don't Stop Believin', but it does of course use the magic I, IV, V and vi, so there's only so much respect it can get from me.
6) So...great band? Yes. Top 5 ever? No.
Which rock bands are better (ones with an * below are ones I could change my mind on depending on the day)?
The Beatles
Queen
The Rolling Stones
Boston
Led Zeppelin
AC/DC (yes, AC/DC...one trick pony, but it's a hell of a trick)
Aerosmith
Fleetwood Mac
Deep Purple
Steely Dan
CCR
The Who*
The Doors*
Lynyrd Skynyrd*
Cream*

The quoted is a bit old but it doesn't make it any less idiotic.
You don't have to travel for the sake of buying a car. Besides, it's a pandemic right now. Most options are limited. Before choosing another car, I suggest you visit a few car museums and learn a little more about cars to get a general idea of what they are and how they work. There are sites like https://www.greatbritishcarjourney.com/, where you can see over 100 classic British cars, from the days of the Austin Seven to the latest McLaren. Pretty impressive, isn't it? I hope you make the right choice and won't be disappointed with your purchase.
The Guess Who are better than The Who. By a mile.
And Queen is better than the Beatles. Rock bands need to tour. Not hole up in the studio fiddling with knobs.
Boston wasn't even a real band. It was Tom Scholz in a studio, and a hired guy (Brad Delp) to do the singing. Then he hired 3 more guys in order to be able to tour. If you ever saw them live back in the day, they came across like 5 guys who didn't know each other - which they essentially were. Worst live show I ever saw.
This wasn't a question about who was best live. Boston put out amazing songs. WAY better band than Journey.
Disagree about The Guess Who....by a mile. For a long time Queen was for me the best rock band ever, but I have re-evaluated. I give the nod to The Beatles just due to the sheer volume of the greatness. If I had to judge them on their best 5 songs only, I would pick Queen as better.
Totally agree with the OP, Journey should be banned, they suck.
