Last weekend 2 of my regular running partners invited me out of my own state to their house in the mountains. I agreed but let them know I would be wearing a mask indoors with them and planned on being outside most of the weekend.
Facts:
1. There would be 9 people there some had negative covid test - basically 1 test per couple/household (5 different households mixing. I was the only non-family member)
2. I got a covid test on Wednesday and self isolated 7 days before except the covid test.
3. I was indoor from 6-11 friday & when I went to bed I was on a different floor than everyone else
4. Saturday morning I went hiking all day alone
5. When I got back Saturday afternoon I had a text saying they were all inside a bar and I should meet them.
6. I packed my stuff when I saw that text and left
7. Sunday night one of them texted me and said that I’m not sure this was mentioned but one of the guys there was exposed to 20 people at his work with covid the Monday before we all went. They closed the shop and he had a negative on Wednesday.
I’m sick to my stomach over all this and how stupid I was to let my guard down. So now I’ve been in isolation again and finally had a test yesterday. Pending results again.
