If it was going to hurt your credit score then that has already happened two or three years ago. Also you would have been called to court a long time ago. You can’t pay the doctor because he has already written it off. Most of these collection agencies just buy old debts for pennies on the dollar. Then they call the debtor and try to get them to pay anything that they can by lying and making hollow threats.
Ignore it and tell them to stop calling that number. Do not acknowledge anything even your identity.
