Amusingly, I have noticed that the same people who are anti-maskers are often also "back-to-schoolers" who cite low in-school transmission which, to the extent its true, is due to, um, mask wearing.
You can't make this stuff up!
I actually think schools ARE a driver of the current national situation.
1. Look at the calendar, notice anything? Duh.
2. Studies show 12-17s transmit to household contacts as well as adults.
3. Kids are perhaps more often asymptomatic.**
4. Few schools do any testing.
**It would be really nice if we had a functioning federal response that should have by now collected, and shared such details. These are easily knowable things that somehow nobody knows a year into a pandemic.
Specifically, why cant I go to CDC and find a chart showing for every ten year age group the:
%Asymptomatic
%Mild cold symptoms
%Severe cold symptoms
%Flu level symptoms
%Bad enough to be admitted to Hospital
%That will die
???? Why?
