Nope. Imagine how terrible future Christmases would be if one of my older relatives got Covid and passed away just because of my own selfishness. No point risking it.
No, unfortunately my sister who usually has about 30 of us will not be hosting this year. I'll be with my immediate family but hope to go to an outdoor restaurant for dessert with a few friends.
Well, no, not as normal, but still doing something: one family member from outside our householdl (lives elsewhere) will join my wife and i. We will not having anything inside. Will eat dinner outside on the porch. And only if the family member gets tested within 2 days of our Thanksgiving.
Take care.

Just asking, would you feel guilty if some of the older people attending your gathering get extremely sick and/or die? Of course you made the decision to go/host the event and they made the choice to attend, but statistically it is extremely likely in most parts of the US that at least one person attending will be infected with the virus with a gathering of more than 50. If you are hosting indoors, the likelihood of transmission is very high. Because many states have extremely relaxed laws on gatherings like the one you are describing, you have every right to host something like this, but if you know that there is a high chance of someone attended being infected, is it really worth it to you? Is it worth it to the more at risk people attending?
Still making these weak threads?
Yes, but our normal Thanksgiving "gathering" is just my husband and myself (and our dogs) cooking something special for dinner. No changes needed here, and it appears we'll still have the traditional NFL Thanksgiving Day games to watch.
No. Two family members we were going to visit were diagnosed with Covid this week. So we’re staying home.
Nope. My parents were going to fly in to visit me and my wife, but we all agreed to cancel. No need to risk airport travel and the potential of them getting sick.
A two person thanksgiving will be weird.

Yes except my Lil sis who is a super woke Bernie Bro Academic won't attend.
My grandma who is in her early 90s is attending because at her age she feels she has a few years left in the best of cases and she would rather spend the time she has left with family and accept the risk than spend a huge portion of her remaining life in isolation. Not going to be a huge gathering but ~10.
Nope thankfully this has given me a reason to not have to go to some lame dinner with family. Now I can simply enjoy the day and not have to think too hard to make up an excuse they would believe
Infected with what? The common cold?
Heeeeeecccccckkkkkk NO!!!
The only redeeming value of COVID is the excuse not to mingle with disgusting vermin family.
Big ups, Wuhan..... just this one time.
No! I would like to but it isn't what is best for us. Covid numbers are going off of the charts as we speak. We all have to do our part and stay home. It's only logical and backed up by science.
No. Cancelled my flights to see my parents today. Two full flights to see them in their 80s is too risky for them right now.
Yes. We have all prayed over this and decided that it will be safe to hold a ~25 person family gathering. Mine and my wife's grandparents will be in attendance. They told us they would rather not live in fear. We are all taking prophylactic zinc and vitamin C just to be safe.

Right, but its what is best for our future . Don't feel bad. We all have to sacrifice for others at some points in our lives. Sometimes we have to deal with reality. Grunt grunt Trump
