Trying to schedule a taper and workouts for a 5k on the 28th (Saturday after this one). I've been doing 50 mile weeks with one track workout and one other workout (hills, tempo, fartlek on grass) and a 13-15 LR.
Current schedule leading up to race is
Tues (today) workout (Not sure what to do, maybe 12x400 @32 with 1 min rest or an easier tempo)
Wed off
Thurs easy 7
Fri workout 5x1k with 1:1 rest
Sat easy 6
Sun 10 mile LR
Mon Easy 7
Tue Shorter workout (maybe 3x800, 3x400, 3x200)
Wed off
Thurs Easy 7
Fri Pre meet 3
Sat Race
Is there anything you would change and are these good workouts for weeks leading up to 5k? Also which workout would be best for today?
