That has been my theory. But, to be honest, I doubt it. "Dumb" is too strong a word, but "not a deep thinker" and "somewhat oblivious" come to mind. I think LRC just kinds of runs itself at this point; in fact, I think it's poorly run but it has plenty of steam and tons of clicks, and I seriously doubt that the odd click-bait post by Rojo moves the needle. I suspect he genuinely finds these articles interesting and, though probably doesn't really think there's anything to them as he said, thinks it's at least possible and worthy of discussion (nope!). But this is the same guy who just a few weeks ago I said should dig up some statistical data on LRC's moderation of political posts and his response is a clueless "I'd like to see that data too!" Uhh, Rojo, it's your site, it wouldn't be hard to pull that data, and people have been complaining ad nauseam for years and you haven't even considered looking? Not to mention, the moderation is all over the f-ing place and moderators seemingly at odds with each other. I don't think they have a clue what the moderators are doing, don't really care, and can't be bothered to find out.

Rojo is a shrewd businessman. He knows that by posting this clickbait and playing oblivious he is riling people up and gathering ad revenue. Two multi-page threads people are feverishly posting to for the opportunity to call rojo dumb. And he's just laughing all the way to the bank.
Keep up with the replies and he's going to keep dipping into the well. Just like jamin.
