The antibiotic Cipro, which is classified as a Flouroquinolone? has a black box warning that it has shown to cause tendonitis and tendon rupture. My daughter has suffered these symptoms for more than a few years.

+1 inquiring minds want to know
How’s caloric intake? You mentioned your diet hasn’t really changed and so it’s likely not this (just troubleshooting), but are you eating enough for your output?
If you drink alcohol, stop. It blocks synthesis of GH which is key to muscle repair and recovery.

You probably have a strong side and a weak side, just like so many of us including elite athletes do.
You are still running on your previous base of fitness but you may have to stop and start all over again if that muscle is damaged. You need proper advice from a PT on how to proceed.
i do notice my muscles are tighter and injuries more likely 1) after drinking alcohol, 2) when not drinking enough water, 3) when not eating enough. But even when I take care on those elements I am still pulling both groins and both calves regularly
Sounds exactly like what I’ve been dealing with. Oddly, it seems to happen more in the spring (just experienced another random calf pull). Ever figure it out? Anyone else know what’s up?
