All records are going down. This girl along with Thorvaldson and Brown will rewrite all of them. If Hutchins doesn't get one of them this year, she will smash it next year. 9:29 coming in a few months!
32 guys sub 15 at Running lane now shows the doubters that it was by far the deepest XC race in history.
Wachtel 14:15 ran 14:36 at RunningLane. Another equivalent improvement just like Hutchins. Puts all of those 32 sub 15 performances in perspective now.
I would wish to get a sponsor to link me for such compititions

Joan Hunter is a great coach, but she doesn't coach Jenna.
Yes she does.
How would she? Hunter is Virginia. Jenna is in TN.

You can coach people remotely on the this thing they call the internet as well as those cellular devices.

Almost the same exact ratio for those two, so about 15:22 was a 15:00 track equivalent.
So...
After this track season is over it’s clear to see how this course is short
Look at the top times from this meet. 14:2x , many 14:30s, and yet these kids are running like 8:55 or slower in the 3200. Many of them are running 4:1x in the 1600.
14:30 is equivalent to 4:10 1600 and 8:56 3200. The 5k time is on an XC course so it should be more like 4:06 and 8:48. Yet looking at the fastest track times from this season we can see that very few of these kids accomplished these times, even with the months of extra training from XC to track season.
The course is short.
I agree. Wachtel ran 14:36 at Runninglane and then ran 14:15 in a track meet 2 weeks later. So he has to be at 8:40 this spring based on that 14:15 but he only ran 9:02 so that track had to be 200 meters short along with the Runninglane course. Hutchins ran 15:58 and then ran 15:34 two weeks later on that same short track. She has to be running 9:20 by now based on that 15:34 track time. How do I report that short track to the officials to get their 5k track times thrown out?
