Running down Tim Dale a 45.5ish guy for Villanova pretty impresson, not so much running down fellow hurdler Orlando McDaneil of LSU in the 4x2.

Chris Johnson is in with guys like.....
Eric Dickerson
Joey Galloway
Randy Moss
Tony Dorsett
Adrian Peterson
.....obviously have some serious jets but no legit track credentials.

Ed McCaffrey was no where close to a 4.3
Christian McCaffrey is Not one of the 20 fastest rbs in the NFL,

I got from this...
Shortly before the '91 NFL draft, Ed says, he ran consecutive
4.38 40s that were timed by the San Diego Chargers. Though
McCaffrey never was a full-time starter with the New York
Giants, who took him in the third round of the draft, he led the
team in receptions in his second year, with 49. His aw-shucks
appearance also made him a primary target off the field. He was
routinely denied access to the team bus by drivers who didn't
believe he was a player. "Phil Simms and Lawrence Taylor would
tell the driver they'd never seen me before and make me wait
outside for five minutes," McCaffrey says.
Had no reason to think he'd lie.
How about this final?
lane
1.Jacoby Ford
2.Jeff Demps
3.Sam Graddy
4.Jimmy Hines
5.Bob Hayes
6.Ron Brown
7.Trindon Holliday
8.Willie McGee WR 9.1

Put Bob Hayes on one of today's springy tracks and after he runs his 9.70, you can decide who the runner-up might be.

I think Galloway was the fastest of the above. Dorsett could run, but more than anything he tells us how football fast Darrel Green was. This is green running down Dorsett on Monday night football. I was a Cowboy fan, up dancing in my living room, and my brother said "he caught him"...I was like "who the heck could catch TD from way back there!".
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Z-TBQmqp24Robert Smith won the Ohio State 100 & 200, I couldn't find his times there. He sat out one year at Ohio State and ran 10.23 at 6'2" 210lbs.
