She looked steady and smooth FTW in 15:07. I believe the video of both men and women elites is on the FB race page. Looks like Keira ran in AlphaFly.

That is a continuously hilly course. I would have her at 14:50 on the track w/ good comp. Definitely an Oly Trials contender next year if she keeps this up.
https://www.facebook.com/SugarRun5K/videos/650791388920310I want to be impressed by her great year. Aisha Praught-Leer is a very good professional runner.
I want to be impressed but I'm just not fully believing it.

Alexi Pappas is "a very good professional runner," too. Not exactly a world class measuring stick. D'Amato can contend in the track OT, but I wouldn't tab her a favorite to make the team by any means.
I think if she goes back to Centro as her coach, she can make an Olympic team. Let’s hope there’s mutual interest, because that would be a great story.

Rackzo is doing much better with her than Centrowitz did. And he was Webb’s best coach as well. Give him some respect.

Riiiight, sorta like how Hudson "did" much better with Ritz than Wetmore did.

She ran 16:07 under Centro, 15:04 now.
Webb fell off the planet after 2007.
I don’t think either of these are up for debate.
Well she'd have to be really really lucky to make the team. Would take injuries to Karissa and/or Shelby in addition to poor performances from a few other ladies. If those two are fit and healthy there's no shot IMO.
Course was not accurate

Her husband and father of her children might have something to say about that.
C'mon mods, what kinda craphole are you running here?

Keira was in Next%. Aisha was in a colored out pair of NB RC
For Plated/high stack shoes I remember Coach Hudson saying some runners are of a higher response efficiency to others. The prototype Sara was in for London seemed to favor the efficiency curve, for the track this curve will be less because of the 25mm stack limit.
What's the most mileage (while still being responsive) someone has put on Next%?
Fine run, looks strong, but that's a very hilly course. No way that was a full 3.107m.
Couple of little known facts.
1) Centro wrote workouts for Rackzo while Webb was with him in HS and post collegiately.
2) Webb wanted to go to American to run under Centro, but Nike stopped that and sent him to Michigan and released the Nike Zoom Kennedy’s in Michigan colors.
She is clearly doping. Very unrealistic progression after nine years off and showing nothing resembling this ability in her prime years. No coincidence this is happening when there is no drug testing. She will not be a contender in any grown up race with real drug controls.

Nuanced understanding of context isn't your strong suit and that certainly isn't up for debate.
1st ever LetsRun post here... She had foot surgery, followed by babies, then slowly lost the weight with incredibly smart training and eating. She has zero ego and a great life outside the running that has allowed her to keep it fun and be consistent over several years. I don't know Keira really well, but well enough that I'd bet my life that she is not doping and never will.
She seemed to be on track pace-wise for something in the ~15:30-40 range if you believe the GPS splits from the cart in the video from Facebook, which is still very impressive on a hilly course. Paquette and Praught-Leer have PR's somewhere in the 15:10 range in peak track shape so they are very respectable athletes to best at this distance by such a wide margin.
Her progression is not that unbelievable if you consider her last few years. She's put in some serious marathon training but clearly has some nice track speed still. If she was running 14:30 out of nowhere, I'd be crying foul too, but 15:0x while impressive and exciting is not an extraordinary feat. I recall Magda running around 15:15 for 5k when she hopped on the track after years just focusing on the marathon, which was something like a minute faster than her best.
She also has no real good reason just to start taking PEDs for running enhancement. Good working career, marriage, kids, situation in life, etc. She won't earn much money from this, even if she sneaks on to the Olympic team- not at her age. From interviews I've read, she kind of just happened to fall back into running 3-4 years ago to loose pregnancy weight. So its not even like she had this secret ambition to try to light it up like she is now. It just kind of happened. And good for her.
There is a lot to admire about her and I've enjoyed following her success the last few months. Should be fun to see where it takes her.

Very interesting . Sum Ting Wong. ?
I remember her at Foot Locker Nationals in HS. Always had the talent. It’s great to watch her make a comeback when so many others never tried.
