Lots of Big 10 (Wisconsin/IU/Michigan) runners. Wonder how their AD’s would feel if they knew their kids were competing with COVID competition ban in place. Potentially bringing COVID back to their campuses.

It’s ok if it benefits them- ie Biden victory street parties or BLM riots.

The athletic department is aware of their participation. They all have to submit outside competition approvals to the compliance department. If their respective universities had an issue, they would not have been approved.

Proof once again that cross country is the great equalizer.
Yep!
Reminds me of Garrett Heath's legendary Mo Farah takedowns in Edinburgh

Insane kick. I think the last K was right around 2:40
that isn't insane for elites. 4:17 pace...
Bekele ran 6:11 for the last 2.195 km of Berlin marathon where he went 2:01:41. That's 2:49 / km and I believe his last 1k was below 2:40. That's insane.

Yesssssssssssssss
Found a guy who is still furious about Biden’s big victory. You LOVE to see it.
Enjoy your loss ?????
Good point about the $$. Maybe when XC finally gets added to the Winter Olympics where it belongs, the shoe companies will start designing them.
Any confirmation that Chelimo or others are no longer in ADP?

Didn’t realize the Berlin marathon was on soggy grass with a big headwind

I would be interested to know how a shoe could even be designed to increase energy return on a cross country surface. Do the benefits of the Dragonfly transfer over to cross county or would there not be enough energy return compared to just sticking to minimalist spikes?
I do get some benefit from Boost on gravel and probably would on a hard grass or dirt surface. Super foams with high stack height for cross country shoes would need an extra wide last to prevent rolling of ankles and such, and all that would add extra weight.

Like I wrote - I don't think closing in 4:17 per mile pace for 1,000m is fast for an elite in a race that is being run at average 14:50-15:00 5k pace.
I know the conditions were lousy but it's the end of the year, Ferlic trains in Michigan (worse conditions) with Willis, and has run 13:37 and 8:27 SC.
He beat Chelimo over tha last mile. That is all we need to know. Pace is pointless.

that was all we needed to know until someone chimed in and said the kick was insane.
The kick was insane because he beat Chelimo over that distance.
