This "pandemic" is taking on average six months off people's lives. At least according to an actuarial webcast I attended.
Which makes sense given the median age of over 80 years and the extremely poor health of most of the folks who have died from Covid. And that nearly half of the deaths took place in nursing homes where the median life expectancy upon entry is five months.
I did some more looking using google and the only one I could find claimed it was nearly 11 years. Which is quite obviously wrong given the media age at death or more than 80 and the life expectancy of someone age 80 is 8 years.
