More effective than the influenza vaccine that averages between 30% and 50 %?
oh but there are more strains wrote:

The Pfizer one was 90% effective. Influenza has many strains and the flu vaccine only covers 2 or 3 of them at a time so it is not that effective by design.
The logistics for this vaccine are not easy. As a mRNA vaccine, it must be kept at -70F, and the cooler opened for no more than 60 seconds twice a day. This will make it difficult to distribute. I don't expect it to be available at your local CVS due to the cold storage.
Fortunately, other vaccines and from different platforms are forthcoming too.
Initial reports on the Pfizer vaccine indicate that the injection hurts (like the shingles vax), you get sick with fever and flu like symptoms for 2-3 days post injection, and then you have to get a second dose and repeat the process 21 days later with the same side effects. Clear your calendar and have some PTO days banked.
Do you have big Christmas plans Hardloper?

I hope you’re right. I want to do some large scale racing and international traveling. However, I don’t think this will be happening until early 2022. Distributing the vaccine is going to be a b!tch.

I’d gladly get punched in the face by 90s Mike Tyson if it meant I could have normal life back.
lol. the vaccine is worse than the disease itself!
How hard can distribution be? Can we not print a few trillion more dollars to rent some trucks and freezers?
I know somebody whose dad works for Pfizer and he said things are looking pretty good as of right now.

lol, the same White House that said that this would POOF disappear back in February? That it would disappear in the summer? That it might be cured by injecting bleach? That White House?
Pretty sure someone from the Whitehouse said April for a vaccine?
At least the WH guy didn't say "we're rounding the corner ". And the people at the Demagogue rallies believed him !?!
Funny how Trump takes credit for speeding up the vaccine process, as if the virus doesn't exist anywhere else in the world and that no one else, amongst the many vaccines in progress, aren't close to releasing an effective one
...and funny how the Trump supporters acted like the virus was an American election ploy as well..
....there's some connection there, has to do with IQ
The Pfizer CEO organized a press release day , then later that Day Filed an insider Trading report stating he sold off 6 million in Pfizer stocks after the Stock price bump. Same with Pfizer senior managers . Total of 37 million in pump and dump shares. Love America.

I had the same reaction at first, but apparently this sale was planned and authorized quite a long time ago...so the timing seems shady, but I think the transaction is a bit more run-of-the-mill than it seems.
