Check out this guy's obituary. Pretty cool stuff.
From setting a world record at Georgetown to listening to the I Have A Dream Speech in person to having the longest marriage in Vermont, it's all pretty neat. Guy even was part of Occupy Wall St at 89.

Former World Record holder
Volunteer WWII Vet,
Married for almost 75 years
Witnessed The I have a dream. speech
Was apart of occupy wall street at 89 years old

I guess if I am every feeling too proud of my "accomplishments" I'll read this obituary again -
Vermont is a niche state. It is mainly forest and very few people live in Vermont. It is not very difficult to have the longest marriage among few people since almost no one lives in this niche state.

I don't care where you live, 74 years is a long marriage. -
The average marriage lasts 7 years
-
3 years is a long time to be married.

I’m a native but moved away 30 years ago. It was a wonderful place, except for the alcoholism that was pretty rampant in our county.
Now it’s a total wreck though ... ruined by the anti-God leftists who overran it. Drug abuse is rampant as the kids immersed in the leftist ideology are depressed, angry, scared, and drug addicted. -
The above post is quite comical. Probably not best to get the "inside scoop" from someone who has not lived here in 30 years.
I live in Central VT. Nice dirt roads for running, long winters, interesting people like Mr Short. Sorry to hear of his passing, but congrats to him on a life well lived. -
Our Dad was an amazing runner. Frostbitten ankles running in Vermont below zero weather never stopped him. He would run several times a day long distances when training for marathons. A very humble man. We miss him.

Of no interest to me...I just wanted to read Rojo’s post to look for mistakes in grammar and spelling.

Quite a life. Best wishes to all. -
Technically he is TIED for first place for the longest marriage in Vermont.
