LOL . . . you want 80% of your pay to stay home AND to stop paying rent or your mortgage. That is what Trump University's "Make Money Off of Other People 101" would teach. But you do need to explain how property owner, and lenders, would get 80% of their take home if you refuse to pay rent or a mortgage?
Just keep printing and handing out that paper. What could possibly go wrong?

That’s just capitalist propaganda used to keep the poor man down.
We should just keep printing money and giving it out to Americans until COVID is totally eliminated. I don’t care if it takes six months or six years. If we can just save one life it’s all worth it.
Americans will not listen to or abide by such an order. The reason is that Americans aren't that tough anymore. They are soft and weak. They only care about themselves and what they are doing right now. This is not the tough Americans that grew up in the Great Depression and then fought in WW2. During WW2 there was a blackout on the west coast because they were worried about being bombed by Japan. Everyone had shades for the windows so at night they would appear black. They did something similar with car headlights. Try that today. People would scream, "It's my right to do go out and not have my windows blacked out". It's a different America.

I don't care about freedom. That's not important. Human rights and all that nonsense can wait. What's important now is that we wear a mask and lock down as much as possible. If the experts say 16-18 months then so be it.
Scary part is people are serious when they say this

Stop with this nonsense. You do badly want to live in war time Japan because it’s been romanticized in a book or something?

It will be ignored in most places and protested in others. The local governments don’t have the ability or the stomach to enforce a real lockdown. Even The US military doesn’t have the ability to lockdown the entire country.
Do you expect a city like NYC, Portland, Boulder, DC to shut down a BLM rally (super spreader event)? Of course not. Do you expect Texas, Florida, the Dakotas, etc to lockdown willingly for any significant period of time? Most likely no.
It will be up to local governments to enforce these lockdowns and they have been shown unwilling to do so when pressed.
Most people will go along.
Maybe 50% or even more will buy into the BS.
Most of the remaining 50% will just go along. Too much hassle not to.
MA recently mandated that people wear a mask outside at all times.
More than half the people are doing so and nearly everyone else puts on a mask when within 20 yards of anyone. And you know a lot of people think it is ridiculous to have to do so. But we go along
It's going to come down to the different states. I've posted this for months that the virus is politicized.
Biden/Harris/Democratic states = lockdowns, restrictions, mask mandates, vaccine mandates.
Trump/Pence/Republican states = freedom, liberty, personal rights, masks optional, vaccine choice.
The Red states with many being Republican Trifectas will resist this lockdown crap and hold firm.
The Blue states with many being Democratic Trifectas will lockdown & psychologically enslave.
People need understand that if you voted for Biden and any Democrats running for offices in your state, you voted for lockdowns, mask mandates, vaccine mandates, and less choice in your medical decisions.
Conversely, if you voted for Trump and any Republicans running for offices in your state, you voted for freedom, liberty, personal rights, personal choice for wearing a mask and getting the vaccine as well as more decision making in your medical issues.
The battle lines have been drawn and the polarization will continue to get worse. The Left & Right hate each other and could never get along when one party is for socialism and the control over people's lives while the other values freedom & liberty and wants less government control.
Welcome to the Divided States of America.
Here's some examples developing: (MS & SD both Republican Trifectas):

Ridiculous and stupid statement: if we can save just one life it’s worth it.
So a 94 year old succumbing to Covid is the equivalent of tens of thousands of lives destroyed?
You are insane.

They don’t care about the 94 year old. Let’s not kid ourselves. It’s just an excuse to control the tens of thousands.

But all money is printed. What's the 'correct' amount of any currency that should be in circulation?
You can argue for a return to hard currency but then have to agree what commodities should constitute it. Lots of hard work for a system which failed in the past.

If it is mandated, what do you think people will do? Protest in the streets? Simply ignore it and go sneak and hang out with friends?
So Biden wants a 6 week lockdown, but didn't say jack sh!t about the hundreds of celebrations in the streets after he was the election was over? Makes sense.
His "advisor" said 6 to 8 week lock-down.
Based on the three week lockdowns last spring to flatten the curve that lasted several months, we can expect a lockdown from January until June

People have had enough. Plus you got Fauci saying April to be back to “normal”. What is there to lock down over the winter at this point anyways?

People are not standing up. Half will believe and do whatever authority says and most of the rest of us see it as too much trouble to resist.

You are living in the wrong country.....
In commie California, Governor Nuissance has moved southern California counties into greater restrictions. Many, not all, restaurants are opting to continue as business as usual.
Those are the businesses I frequent.
Except for the $300 a plate dinner he attended with friends!
No wonder our state welcomes so many CA refugees.

It's like back in 1930's Germany, people who voted for Hitler thinking he was the right man for Germany's poor economy at the time - voted for the Nazi party and their ideology.
One of the candidates in the presidential election did have similarities to Adolf Hitler:
- Demagogue who discredited the media (fake news)
- Extreme right wing politics
- Dreams of dictatorship (ignoring election results)
- Locked themselves in a bunker when the end was nigh
- Provided enemies for the ill-educated (Liberals, Jews/Muslims, Immigrants)
- Loved large rallies
- Campaigns based on making the country "Great"
- Seen as a gift from god by the ultra-conservatives Christian population
When I think of Hitler, I think of mass slaughter of innocent human beings via war and concentration camps. Democrats with their bottomless advocacy and support of direct abortion, which, in the USA alone kills 700,000 innocent human beings annually, have earned recognition for that similarity. It’s a much more significant similarity than loving large rallies.
