I would really be surprised if Biden wanted to begin his presidency by putting the entire nation in time-out for a month.

Trump won't have a lockdown in his second term.
I doubt Biden will impose a strict lockdown. Even if he did, we would see great unrest in the country.
Have we not learned anything? Lockdowns are a temporary solution. Remember flatten the curve? Once you open back up, it will spike again.
Maybe tiny islands like New Zealand can have success, but we have the largest economy in the world and a much bigger and more diverse population. The post office won’t stop, law enforcement, shipping, and many other critical functions.
We don’t need to be cavalier and have large indoor parties with no masks, but we also shouldn’t hide in fear either. I’ll take my odds with a 99.6% survival rate as a healthy male in his 40s. If you are obese, have respiratory issues or over 65, I don’t blame you for being more cautious.

A locked down Trump will be his second term.
Rickers Island her he comes.
January 20th.
The POTUS is limited in what he can order as a "lockdown". Each state will have to agree and many will want to keep from bankrupting what is left of their economies.
I'm thinking the civil war we'll be having when Trump has the army surrounding the White House and Capitol will make lock down really hard to enforce.

Well-played...

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.
I'll do as I do now, won't wear one outdoors unless I can't be far from others. I won't wear one outdoors just because 'they' say so.

First, nobody in high government positions ever do time.
Second, his next term will start in 2024.

If it is mandated, what do you think people will do? Protest in the streets? Simply ignore it and go sneak and hang out with friends?
I think they will do as the leaders , The American People know that our Leaders (Politicians) have our best interest at heart and will do what benefits the USA most.

Of course he'll impose a lockdown. His choice for task force leader is Epidemiologist Dr Michael Osterholm, who wants a 4-6 week hard lockdown:
https://www.rt.com/usa/506308-biden-covid19-advisor-lockdown/And there will be no great unrest because so many people voted for Biden (what is it now - up to 78 million?).
Anyone that voted for Biden endorses lockdowns, permanent mask mandates, compulsory vaccine mandates, and loss of personal choice in medical decisions. Anyone who voted for Biden is now a radical Leftist. Even though you may be an "unaffiliated" registered voter - by casting a vote for Biden, you casted a vote for the radical Left's agenda in dealing with Covid. It's like back in 1930's Germany, people who voted for Hitler thinking he was the right man for Germany's poor economy at the time - voted for the Nazi party and their ideology.
So, people that voted for Biden and post on here that they're against lockdowns, mask mandates, vaccine mandates, etc...don't be a hypocrite!
this^
it will be the self righteous liberal duchebags who will nark and snitch on people in the name of "safety".....and prepare for those FEMA camps to start filling up with people who dont stay in house arrest. sadly its the end for people who like freedom.

I predict this comment will not age well. Between now and January 2021, the US is going to sustain an enormous number of covid casualties. All of which you and yours will find a way to rationalize away, no doubt.

One of the candidates in the presidential election did have similarities to Adolf Hitler:
- Demagogue who discredited the media (fake news)
- Extreme right wing politics
- Dreams of dictatorship (ignoring election results)
- Locked themselves in a bunker when the end was nigh
- Provided enemies for the ill-educated (Liberals, Jews/Muslims, Immigrants)
- Loved large rallies
- Campaigns based on making the country "Great"
- Seen as a gift from god by the ultra-conservatives Christian population

Yeah, Trump sucked.
No, I will not be locking down.
Both can be true.

Saying things won't "age well" hasn't aged well. That tired cliche makes me want to barf. Yet people still think they're clever every time they puke it up.

Yes, people will unfortunately die of COVID-19- I really wish this was not the case but it is the reality. Lockdowns will not stop death unfortunately. Americans will not comply, it is unenforceable in the US and it will not make COVID go away (see Europe). It will just damage our economy and society making us less able to fight the next wave of COVID.
Prediction: Any lockdown in the free world won't be honored until 20 million people have died.
