nico is obviously pacing, look at his shoes, hes not wearing flats, not spikes like he would in a all out effort.

valid point
Looks like the Red Rock HS track in Sedona. So about 4500 feet.
How dumb are you? It was in chandler, AZ. A quick look at cade burks strava shows this. Red rock HS has turf on the infield too...there is straight up crappy grass in this picture. Some people on this forum are so dumb man I swear

Creepy!!!
My friend's team also had some guys running on Friday night, so I can shed a little light on the evening.
It was at Chandler High School. The night was pretty calm, but temps were in the 80s when they ran.
Nico Young was the No. 2 pacer for the first group of 5K guys through 3000 meters or so, maybe a little futher. Corey Gorgas took that heat with a 14:06 or :07. He trailed Cade Burks going into the last lap, but dropped a 59 last lap. Burks wound up at 14:13.
I think the early pacing was a little off, otherwise those guys would have been a little closer to 14:00. Nico took over pacing after about a mile and the pace was pretty steady with him in front.
Nico was then the early pacer for the fast group (the one you see in the photo), but didn't go much past a mile. Luis G took over and really was remarkable. He was looking back at Abdihamid Nur, encouraging him to stay with him. Luis G dropped out before last lap (probably would have finished in 13:50 range) and Nur brought it home in 13:57. Raff was at 14:13 and Bosley backed off the pace late, but did finish around 14:30 or so.
Brodey Hasty, Theo Quax, Blaise Ferro didn't run, but most of the other top guys did take part in the workout.
After all the time trials, Luis G and Nico did some rolling 200s (8-10 of them) with the pro woman who paced the women's 5ks. I will say, in those 200s, Nico looked way smoother than he normally does.
Wow. A new kit.
Whoop.
Dee.
Damn.
Do.
