"The Danish Health Authority does not recommend that healthy people who move around in public generally wear face masks,"
So you admit that from February to June, there was little mask wearing in Denmark?
You admit that the small amount of mask wearing did not increase the number of deaths? -

Guess what? Most Denmarks don't wear masks.
"Denmark's health authority has discouraged mask wearing for healthy people going about their normal lives, questioning its effectiveness and saying it 'can cause more harm than good.'"
So you fail both with Sweden and its "Nordic" neighbor.
Denmark also had a harsh national lockdown and has already re-instated some measures with growing cases!
Not sure this is the point you want to run with. Unless you're saying extreme national lockdowns (more than USA had) are the way to go...
oopsie!!
Liar again DB. Denmark did not have harsh national lockdowns, they shut down ,many public services, recommended people work from home if they could, and generally asked people to do the best they could. They also started reopening on April 6th and opened schools up the day after Easter. They also don't wear masks that much. You also have no idea what you are talking about but are such a pathological liar that you just saying anything to sound smart thinking that sounding smart will win you the argument You lose dude, you are a liar, you are a shill, you are a death mongering narcissist. People need to stand up to people like yourself because you are destroying the world that everyone lives in for a delusional narrative that is unsupported by any data or past precedent.
Bro, bro, bro.
That's what the USA did. Public sector employees ordered home. Non-essential private employers asked to send people home. They even were fining people for congregating in public! That's a lockdown -- by your definition. They also closed restaurants (takeout only), hairdressers, bars, etc. They even shut their borders!
You can't just change the definition of "lockdown" because you don't like that Denmark did it.
Denmark has a national mask order now, so I guess you're wrong again there.
I'd pick a different country -- this isn't going well at all for you. -

Yeah from July. They've changed their tune -- come around to the side of masking.
Interesting -- if these things don't work and are oppressive, why are countries like Denmark turning toward them now?? Weird...
Maybe you're wrong?? Nah.... impossible.

Look at the daily deaths for the past three months in this nation of 10 million plus.
They are doing great.
That is what everyone was saying in Texas in early June. Then 15,000 people died. Deaths are a lagging (oh, never mind).
The outbreak in Sweden is very quickly catching up in severity to the rest of Europe. Last two days saw 2,400 and 2,800 new cases a day. I actually did not expect it to accelerate so quickly in Sweden as they do have good public health infrastructure. And it is still early in this outbreak compared to countries like Spain and the UK which saw their outbreaks start late in August. Without very strong measures, Sweden will be in a lot of trouble in the next few weeks. If you are looking at Sweden as an example of a COVID 19 success story, you are completely delusional at this point.

Hey DB, you claimed harsh lockdown. Yes, they had a fairly mild lockdown, that was not forced too much, and then reopened very quickly....nobody said they did nothing but it was not the hot mess Italy and France put their people through, nor the democratic run portions of the USA. You seem to be a very simple minded human being. -

Ok good, you stopped arguing about masks.
And yeah -- they had a shutdown of the school system -- a hallmark of lockdowns.
Nonessential employees asked to say home -- like in the USA.
Public sector employees forced to stay home -- like in USA.
If you look up the government response stringency index, you can see Denmark tracks well with USA and Germany:
https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/covid-stringency-index?tab=chart&time=2020-06-11&country=DNK~USA~ITA~DEU
If you're gonna call the USA's response a "lockdown" you should concede on Denmark too.
But, you won't, you're too dogmatic. Just will change the subject and call me a psychopath. -

Ok cool. We agree they are now enforcing masks and had a lockdown.
They were smart to go to lockdown extremely early in time and case #. Very wise -- didn't wait until they had thousands of people running around with me.

You are still lying. Schools closing a few weeks is not the same as all year and the returning six month later in partial form. Non essential federal employees staying home is about the only similarity. Cuomo is still dictating what people can eat at restaurants for crying out loud. Our kids are either still stuck at home or only getting educated 2 days a week. I have started teaching my son on the side because the liberal schools are failing him. Denmark has not perpetuated this liberal freak show in the usa; you are a psychopathic liar and that is all. A stupid one at that, and one who has a gross lack of understanding of science. True mental illness. -

Jesus, even the freaking data you posted shows Denmark had a much less stringent response than the USA, the map is showing the average that includes all of the republican states that followed more closely the behavior of Denmark and likewise saw much less death. The liberal states would be black on this map and have murdered their own citizens to satisfy the fears of psychopathic liars like yourself. You are a liar and your lies are the type that are killing people. -

Denmark got cases and deaths under control far quicker than the USA did. They were able to go back to a more normal life much faster -- for a bit. I applaud them.
If we could attain the same level of control of the virus, we could be there too.
Although they are dealing with a new wave. It's hard to stay vigilant but I am impressed with how proactive they are. Even a small rise in cases = new restrictions. Don't wait for things to get out of hand.

Nah, they were on par with USA and Germany which had pretty strict responses.
Only ~9 states (including Mass.(!!)) didn't have a stay at home order.

Harambe lost the debate, but he's back for more. He might be a masochist. He's a contrarian, so he'll flounder and make retorts. -

Dude, why do you lie like this? What is wrong with you. There was only about a week where they might have been on par with Germany and the USA, who only had moderate lockdowns on average across all regions, then Denmark lifted restrictions.....why not look at the data for all nations and realize that Denmark was always on the lower end, realize that the data for the USA is an average which include the many states that did not lock down much at all. You are such a lying prick. You are really hell bent on demanding this goes on forever? Why? Are you in a hospital for delusional sczhizophrenics....do you talk to yourself all day? So, the 80% rise in new cases is actually people from March and April who are just getting around to taking a test? And the 60% rise in hospitalizations are all from people exposed in the spring but are just now getting around to getting medical attention? Or could it be that there is no herd immunity in Sweden and they are having the outbreak that every expert predicted would occur in the Fall?
Even Tegnell admits that there is no herd immunity and calls any policy seeking herd immunity "futile and immoral". I guess you should get on a plane to Stockholm so you can call him a murderer and a psychopath for calling for tighter restriction in Sweden to stop the current outbreak.
