208 mile projection... umm good luck with that at around 18 - 20 hours in, if he even makes it past 16 hours... this guy hasn’t a clue how good YK’s record is.
It’s such an untested event. Who knows. Maybe they will try a pitstop strategy. On that pace, technically he could eat and nap for an hour and come out again.

The leaders went past the marathon mark in 2:58:15(Sebastian) and 3:00:35 (Kilian). Kouros went past the mark in 2:59:59 and it is considered quite faster than needed, so those guys going with the same pace, having in mind the long cold night, smells like fireworks.
Kilian pooping a lot?
they said he's hit the bathroom about 1/hr, so sounds like it

really? umm no.
How well do you know him? Håkansson is jogging, Jornet is running currently.
I have absolutely no idea who he is, which is exactly why I'm thinking he won't go further than KJ or anywhere near the WR. He's gone out too fast and will pull out before the end, same for KJ.
Ps. They are both jogging you numnut, hakansson is just taller so his form will look slightly different that's all.
And who's idea what is to do this in winter, in friggin Norway? There's about 2hrs of daylight and the dudes going to get his nuts frozen off.

This is just sad. Kilian is doing this 24 hour run as a pure publicity stunt to draw attention to himself and his sponsors in a time of no races... and so Sage decides to hop on Kilian's cape and make a video to try to get himself some likes/publicity from Kilian trying to get publicity?
Sage - why not try to accomplish something yourself and talk about that. You make yourself look pathetic here. Seriously. Grab some confidence and go out and achieve something yourself and post about that. Even watching your video about your terrible 10k is better than resorting to you plugging Kilian's brand.
+1
I dont think Kilian has any time said that he really has a goal of breaking the WR. Neither has he stated he believes he is capable of doing so. He has just said - with reference to the WR - that he would try go out in WR pace and see how he holds up. I think he gives the event alot more respect than what this forum is giving him credit for. That being said - I too think he went out to fast :) But who knows. Kilian is special - lets see just how special! :)

You need to be careful with that sort of sensible commentary on Letsrun.

Always fun to see people talking about 24 hour racing who don't have a clue.

Probably Salomon and Kilian together. He lives there and with Covid there is nothing else possible to promote a new shoe. So here we are, watching a outdoor track in the middle of nowhere Norway. Pretty cheap promotion for a running shoe. Definitely a lot cheaper than Nike's sub 2 project.
With the shoe he's using not being on sale yet, is there a chance that any distance set in this event won't be ratified? IAAF wouldn't allow it certainly.

He's sort of following the splits of Kouros the day he set the record, which were unusually fast at the beginning for his standards.
Why do people try to create controversy? The shoe has been for sale since Oct. 1, 2020 -https://www.salomon.com/fr-fr/shop-emea/product/s-lab-phantasm.html#color=24530

I predict the feed will mysteriously go down when he is at the 150-160 mile mark and will magically resume at 183 miles. :)
US election has been inspiring indeed
Give Sage a break. He’s trying to find his left buttcheek. That’s hard.
Kilian still 4 laps behind Hakansson.
Not trying to create controversy, the Salomon site shows quite clearly that they are not on sale yet and and are due in spring 2021.
On the French site, and the UK site, they are listed but NOT available.
I'm sure Saloman / JK have this covered off, but I was curious if it was under discussion.
