Karl Meltzer is the man when it comes to trail ultrarunning.
Humble guy who gets the job done in style.
Also doesn't train crazy mileages which I think are a huge part of his longevity.
Can’t believe he gets no love ❤️ froM this board ??
I love how you say no one cares about pro track runners and then had to bump your own thread on this nobody after a whole one person responded.
Karl is 52, he hasn’t really been relevant since the Scott Jurek era.
He's also famously known in ultra circles as the 100-mile cherry picker..
Ooofff!
I was reading some of your content on this website and I conceive this internet site is really informative! Keep on putting up.

That would be Jim Walmsley. Who only finishes a race when he feels like it.
What's a Blue Collar runner and are there any White Collar runners?

I've often wondered this too. If you have the time to train at an elite level and buy stuff needed to sustain that, I don't think you're pulling off long shifts in the factory. Could be wrong tho.
Is it really that hard to spell his name correctly in the title of the post?

Especially when you link to an article in your post that literally has his name in the headline.
90% of the posts here are not about Karl.
Kind of sad since he is a runner people should talk about more.
With his sensible 60-80 miles training and his humble approachable attitude he his a prime example of what ultrarunners used to be.
He's also tough as nails. He's not like all these new guys that DNF because they got a tummy ache.
mezler / metzler .... we know who we are talking about . I like to call him willpower . Guy races he doesn’t do Bowerman “Timetrials”
He can't do Bowerman timetrials. He's a bit to slow to jump in with the men or women.
