All these companies like Google and Amazon should be broken up.
Microsoft has been hit with several of these over the years. It is still around. Had to make some changes, but it kept on rolling. I am confident Google can weather this. Also, I an thinking there will be a new AG in January who might decide not to pursue this although there are probably merits to some of the charges.
They have a gazillion dollars and lobbyists. Not going anywhere
Sinclair Broadcast Group belongs at the top of the list. Yes, even above google. They control 40% of the nation's total television broadcasters. With Google you have a choice to use a different search engine wherever you live. With Sinclair Broadcast Group you have zero choice but to swallow what they peddle.

Yep. They may get hit with a slap on the wrist at most, but the whole company will not be altered in any meaningful way.
Spoiler alert: this won’t be the end of Google.

Ummm . . . pretty sure that nobody is forcing you to watch TV.
Nothing sums up Google’s dominance more than ‘AMP’, arguably the worst thing to happen to mobile browsing in the smartphone era. It’s almost a litmus test for these tech companies: can you afford to implement a significant downgrade to your service in order to harvest more data? Reddit is another classic case of this.

While you do have a choice to do use whatever search engine you want, I would argue that where Google went wrong is prioritizing their own services in search.
For example, you search an address..any address..and what shows up? Google Maps location of that address. You don't get a Bing map or an OpenStreetMap map.
If you Google for a meme, you get a Google Images result, even though the image is hosted on giphy or some other service

Yep, worst case scenario is Google pays a fine and makes a few superficial changes and continues on as before.

And if enter you search an address on Bing you ONLY get a Bing map.
And if enter you search an address on Duck Duck Go you ONLY get an OpenStreetMap map.
With each of the three search engines you do get other map links as first or second options, with MapQuest and Street Lookup being the two main options.
Bing does not offer Google Maps as a search option. And Google does not offer Bing Maps as a search option. Duck Duck Go does offer Google maps as an option but it's about #10.
Comical. There's plenty of competition on the internet and the dominant company for service X has nearly always been in flux.
This is just butthurt GOP leaders upset that private companies are protected by the first amendment.
Trying to get a 'win' before election day.
