I'm researching new training shoes for my rotation. In the past I have tended to favor low-drop (3-6 mm), relatively low stack height, and somewhat firm midsole. However, I'm almost 69 and think I could use a shoe with a bit more cushion. I can research most brands, but Nike has proved frustrating because on their website they often provide neither the stack height or the drop for their shoes.
Please note that I prefer a drop under 8mm because I am a midfoot striker. However, if necessary I will consider 8mm. 10mm (i.e Pegasus 37) and more is a nonstarter. And because this is to be a training shoe for a older runner, I'm not looking for a magic race shoe that costs $200+ and wears out quickly.
What does Nike have for me, or should I focus on other brands?
