TBH my dentist is really good. She is also sexxy. But that is kind of irrelevant.

5 days ago for the semiannual cleaning.
I haven't been in 20 or 25 years, but l brush my teeth, use a water pick, and all that stuff. I have also been using bleech 3x a week. Yes bleach, that is bleach mixed in water. They say it real clears up the bacteria in the mouth, and this past year l started using coconut oil every day too.
Every 10 years like clockwork. I'm in my 60s now so I figure I have two more visits....

I went to a dentist in 2012 after not having visited one for 12 years. My wife talked me into that based off a very minor issue I had: brushing my teeth was kind of unpleasant after eating sour fruit. The dentist found a whole lot of problems which were treated over multiple visits, about 3 months total. It caused a whole lot of pain and suffering. I did not cry or yell, but resisting that caused me to sweat a whole poodle every time. It cost a lot of money. It involved a period of eating through a straw. It took almost a year for the new fillings to adjust themselves so I could comfortably chew on both sides. And the original issue was not fixed at all!
Haven't been to a dentist since and won't go to one unless I'm in unbearable pain. Bearable is OK.

It is extremely inefficient that dental care is not combined with medical care under the same insurance plan. Routine teeth cleaning is a part of overall good health. Since dental care is outside of normal health care, dentists, in order to make a buck routinely want to x-ray their patients. Dentists are the only health care professionals who get away with preemptive x-rays. Dentists and x-rays when there is no inflammation, no bleeding and no pain are unnecessary but routine cleaning is necessary.

It's been ages since I went to the dentist. Honestly, I've been avoiding it out of fear. But I know I should go soon. Anyone else in the same boat? Share your experiences!

All of the anti Covid vax I know don’t go to a dentist and are also anti masks since the breath is very bad.
Once your mouth is a rotting trashcan, you want to put off that appointment as long as possible.

Surprising no one’s pointed out in three years that OP sounds like an anti-dentite.
