Farah didn't have the same shoe technology. Everything run now should have an asterisk.

59:21 on a bad day isn't such a bad day
jacob is on the list for valencia next saturday against rhonex!!!!!
In December not next Saturday. Also, was he wearing Alphaflys today?

I think the future is already here

But 328 is like 727 3k and 59:20 is an eternity away from a tactical 58:49 on a course with tight turns. I would say Jakob has overtaken Mo as the GROAT.
No, Farah's 1500m pb of 3:28.81 is worth 1262 on the IAAF Scoring table, whereas Kiplimo's 3000m pb of 7:26.64 is worth 1 point less at 1261.
So Farah's 1500m ability is at least on par with Kiplimo's 3000m ability, which would suggest Farah's range is still the best. That is assuming he was/is clean of course.

That’s his 15k to 20k split
I am wondering about his 16k to 21k split. Given that he closed the last 1.1k at 2:38/k pace, I would have to think that he probably ran his 16k to 21k section in 13:2X. (Sub 27 pace).

Also, he ran his 5k to 20k section in 41:15. I would have to assume that he ran, his 6k to 21k section in 41:0X. Cheptegei’s 15k world record is 41:05.
I know that you can’t get a WR in a segment of a race, but it deserves a mention.
Do the km by km splits exist somewhere out there?

Farah had the best that was to be offered at the time. You didn’t see the Kenyans and Ethiopians whining and crying.

13:38 from 15 to 20km x .8 = 10:54.4
Last 5k = ~ 10:54.4 + 2:38 = ~ 13:32.4

I agree, it is always funny to me how a new GOAT is crowned here on the boards after every major race.

Yes, which is probably why he ran 13:2X in that section. I don’t think that he ran the 15k to 20k at an even pace. Km between 15 and 16 was probably slower than 2:43.x

i don't think you can compare 3k times to 1500 like that. We all know what bekele and Geb ran for 3k and they could not sniff 3:28.
He looks 19. Ugandan ages appear more accurate than Ethiopians and Kenyans.
This kid reminds me of Kipchoge circa 2003. Those last few kilometers looked so smooth. He was just floating away. He's taken some major scalps this year on the track and road.
Ok so what is going on in Uganda? Where have these talents been all this time?

Indeed
3000m: Jakob
5000m: Barega
HM: Cheptegei and Kandie (we should not forget about him. He is ranked 5th all time at HM)
His next scalp is Rhonex
Once he gets that one, there are no other ones to get (unless Bekele, Kipchoge, Legese or Kitata decide to race something shorter than the marathon)
Note: Coincidently, Crippa was in all 3 of Kiplino’s Races. Is it really a coincidence or do they have the same agent?

I guess that in addition to Rhonex, he also gets a shot at Karoki and S. Kiprop in Valencia. Both are ranked 7th all time at the HM. His trophy case will be pretty full at the end of the season.

I agree with this. I think its kind of like Lebron and Jordan. Jordan is the GOAT, but Lebron has a chance at passing him
He is 19. I know it's hard for you to stomach that a black 19 yr old is the best distance runner in the world lol.

3:31.76 FTW at world indoors is certainly "sniffing" a 3:28-29 with pacers/fast comp at Monaco.
