The one you live in a hub for
American Airline carriers just plain suck!
Although I don't fly as much as I used to, I was at one time an "air warrior" living in Asia and working throughout many different Asian cities. My favorites, in no particular order, are:
EVA
Qatar
Singapore
China (based out of Taiwan)
Eithad
Thai
Cathay Pacific
All of these are light years ahead of American cattle car airlines. These Asian carriers shine in service, meals, amenities, on time status, free baggage allowance, etc. Now, that doesn't make every Asian airline carrier superior to the American carriers. There are some out there that I had the unfortunate opportunity to fly on that are simply atrocious.
Braniff is amazing.
Not Spirit Airlines
Qantas. Qantas never crashed.
I'm an excellent driver. Wapner comes on at 5.
I rate the following top ten in no particular order, but only domestic carriers:
TWA
Eastern
Pan Am
Hughes Airwest
Ozark
PSA
Braniff
Air Midwest
Western
Aloha
I agree. Carriers like Singapore put the US carriers to shame. The service is exceptional and as a result 14 hours in coach is doable

Totally agree. Prior to covid I flew to Asia 6-7 times a year for many years. Mostly in business (always on the transpac leg). A lot of multi-segments and transfers. Not only are many of the Asian airlines superior but the airports and lounges blow the ones in the US out of the water.
Agree with your list (EVA is a favorite) but would add ANA and leave off Thai. Mainland Chinese-based carriers are generally worse than those in the US, as are the discount airlines.
Agree with these guys.
I think Delta is the best of the bunch here among the big guys but thats not saying much.
I usually fly SW because its convenient though its no longer (imo) "low cost".
I’ve flown over 40 legs on Korean Air, mostly transpacific, they are quite good and way better than any US carrier. Business maybe 15 times, first once and the rest coach, which is way more tolerable than something like United (I almost always get exit row, which you can get by showing up early and status allows you in the expedited check-in line). Other non-Chinese Asian carriers are generally very good as well. Saudia is actually pretty good, but no alcohol (have flown four long haul business class legs). For US carriers I usually go with Delta, since my Korean Air status carries over and I’ve generally had good experiences. Avoid Aeroflot and China Eastern.

Qantas has had some accidents but these were all from 1951 and before. I wouldn't count the ones that were shot down by Japanese aircraft during WW2 that were being used as troop transports though. Qantas, as the airline we know it today flying modern jets, has never had an accident.

Those all suck bad. And both United and Frontier have drunk pilots. This one time like 10 years ago, I had to fly United to Miami, and the goddam pilot keyed the cabin mike and started singing Van Halen. Drunken clown.
I only fly Delta when possible, either First or Comfort class. Delta is the best. Delta is the Cadillac of the industry. Top notch airplanes.
Not sure how you came to this list, perhaps you only fly internally within the US? US airlines are generally considered amongst the worst in the world.
As other posters mentioned, some Asian and Middle-east carriers are really good. Qatar is my favorite, in particular business class, but Singapore has great coach and premium.
Cathay Pacific and Ethiad are also pretty good. European carriers (Lufthansa, Air France, Swiss, Alitalia, etc..) are a step down and generally comparable, still miles ahead of US carriers.
If the only option is a US carrier (i.e. and US internal flight) I suck it up and try to go with Delta or Jet Blue.
I was just listing some airlines I knew of. Yes I only fly within the US.
I have had bad experiences with United as well
Then why bother starting this thread in the first place? You obviously have minimal knowledge and even less experience.

A lot depends on your status for US carriers. As a 1K or GS with United I've been treated very well and agents have gone out of their way to be helpful, especially with IRRPOPS. Without any status it's a miserable ordeal. While this is true for all airlines, the best ones, like Singapore attempt to create a good experience for all of their customers.
I can say with confidence that the best airlines are the ones that are the most expensive on the list. As we know lately, air travel is the safest and fastest way to get from one place to another.

Due to my work, I often have to fly to other cities and I have a very busy work schedule. I always need to get there on time and therefore I try to always book tickets in advance. Once I had a situation when I could not get on the plane due to the exaggerated number of reserved seats and my flight was postponed for 4 hours. I had to sit at the airport and that day I was late for all my meetings. I plan to contact https://euflightcompensation.com/ to receive compensation for inconvenience and lost time.
