Some guy just came up to me accusing me of taking a photo of him and his girlfriend.
Why would I want a photo of him?
The gf, yes. She was cute.
There’s no flash on an iPhone so not sure why he thought so. I had my phone up actually reading LetsRun.

Better to admit the gf shot than that!
No, I've never been busted because I'd never try to take a creepshot...because it's creepy!
Missing the point. I did not take a photo but he thought I did.
So I wonder is it common for people to sneak photos while out in public?
I was in Austin, TX on leave after flying back into the States via Ft Hood. We made the drive down there for some good food and good music. I believe it was late 2010. I’ll never forget our first night there. We were at this place called Guero’s on one of the main streets there (Congress?). In the corner were 4 pretty sauced up frat boy types. We were the next table over, and one table next to us were two legit cowboy types (not playing dress up- you can tell the difference) with their girlfriends, probably having come into the city for food like us. One of the girlfriends was amply blessed, and was wearing a top that reflected that fact. You could plainly hear these drunk frat boys discussing her choice of evening wear. One of them stood up with his phone, jiggled his fingers on the screen to presumably zoom, and snapped two pics (his phone was not muted) pointed at the cowboy table. Both of the cowboys stood up. In a flash, they were on top of the frat boy table, just beating the absolute stuffing out of them. It seems like 2-3 minutes of absolute chaos, but was probably more like 30 sec.
Get your walking material on the web, jamin. This is not the first time you have managed to piss off a boyfriend.

BS. There is no shame in taking a picture of someone in a public place. The law is clear. It's only wrong to photograph if the person has "a reasonable expectation of privacy." Someone walking down the street or sitting at a restaurant does not.

May not have taken photo, but did you have to call the cops? Thanks to you three people were arrested. Stop being a creeping Tom
I was in a class that had the tables arranged around the outside of the classroom with the center open, so the teacher could stand in the center. The teacher was out of the room and we were all reading our books. It was dead silent. This was about 2008ish and I had just gotten my first smartphone. I was playing with the phone, trying to figure out how the camera worked. I was sitting with my elbows on the table and the phone held up in the air. I accidentally took a picture and it made the most obnoxiously loud camera noise, along with the flash. The entire class looks at me and goes "why did did you just take a picture of shelby? (A guy)"

Just because it might 'be legal' because of the legal definition, that does not make it any less creepy. I'm specifically talking about guys taking pictures covertly of attractive women.
Sure, an artsy picture where someone might be in it, that is more reasonable.

Oh, he’s fully aware of that. It’s just the way nowadays for one person to be purposefully contrary. Just the way it is. They eventually get sideways with the wrong person, so I wouldn’t worry about it.

Yes, I understood what you were talking about. I just don't buy into the narrative that having the sexual behaviors and desires that are normal for a male human being is somehow "creepy." We've let ourselves become convinced that natural sexuality is aberrant, and this isn't doing any good for members of either gender within our society.

No doubt you have no problem with British women taking creepshots of handsome men on the tube.
https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/4914944/britains-hottest-commuters-london-underground-tube-crush/I was on the footlocker nationals bus sitting next to Jenny Simpson, with emma coburn across the isle. When we were getting off to run the course, I tried to snap a pic of emma to send to my gf (she didn't believe me that I was next to her) of course emma sees my sneaky attempt, calls me out, everyone notices, and I am BEET RED. Emma was very sweet about it, saying let's get a real pic together, while half the bus of guys and gals watches. Deleted the pic right after because I was still blushing so hard. Def one of my most embarrassing moments ever.
You are wrong. And going for a legal answer misses the point that it's just weird and creepy.
That's like a paparazzi argument. And they're some of the worst people on the planet

If you were at FL Nationals why wouldn’t your GF believe you were with the other FL runners?
she's wasn't much of a runner. All she knew about emma coburn was that she was a pro and very hot
