I have a half marathon race coming up this Sunday which is going to be my only HM this season. Tomorrow is set for the last workout 4 days out before the race. I really don't want to screw up the tapering so I would like to have an advice on the last workout and for the 3 days leading up to race.
Last Wednesday (11 days out) I did 3x1600 w/ 60 sec recovery in between. I ran 1600 in 5:31, 5:25, 5:16 with the recovery minute in between at 6:10/mile pace. After that 5x100 pick-ups. Felt quite good all through the workout.
Last Sunday I did 20 mile long run on quite hilly trails. Did not aim for specific pace.
My mileage has been constant 55-60 mpw all year long. Current PB is 1:15. Hoping to go sub-75.
