Hi guys, first of all sorry for my gramar mistakes, english isn't my first language
I am training for the upcoming XC Season who will start in november/december. I just finished my sixth week of base phase's training, I upped my mileage from 20 miles to 55 miles I have planed to do six more week of base training and I want to 70 miles/ week before starting the faster training session.
I am training by myself so I would like to have some advice and to know if I am doing well. I built my training plan from what I've read on the web.
Here are my Key training session :
-One specific speed endurance workout 8 sets of long Hill sprint @100% effort with a long recouvert (2min30)
-A lt threshold hills workout, during this session I normally do 30 minutes of threshold running. For example last week I did 3 sets of 10 minutes up hill.
-One hilly long run of 15 miles with around 1240 feet of vertical climbing.
I lift weight and do plyometric during my harder day (i.e the sprint session and the lt threshold workout). I also swim twice a week just to keep some upper body strength.
For information I am a 25 years old men in my fourth Season of long distance running. I have never ran above 60 miles per week, last Season I raced mainly on the trails and I have competed only in 3 XC race. I also did one 10k race in 33"25 min.
I would be really grateful if you have any training tip /suggestions. Thanks you in advance.
