If Bekele didn't have a calf injury he would be in Berlin shape from last year. He should recover from it and be slightly stronger next year. He only needs to be a fraction of a percent fitter and he will destroy everyone next year. After today's carnage we can confidently safely say that nobody's fitness is out of reach for Bekele next year. He will beat everyone when he gets the calf fixed

Bekele is 38 years old. Not many people get fractionally faster at that age . I hope he has one or two more races in him but the clock is definitely ticking. And Kipchoge is close to behind.
