Looking at the Meet Our Coaches part of the TME Website, we see that Leslie has joined that program as an assistant coach. Just resigned from ASU last Thursday.

Any idea why he resigned from ASU? Seemed like he was having a lot of success
Cory serves as Director for Tinman Elite, with his eyes firmly fixed on our future. Cory will work to recruit a full women’s roster,
I'm surprised no one mentioned this so far. This is a huge change for the TME in general. Building a female pro division (so far they only have some good athletes at 15 high-level in Tinman track club).
Will be interesting to see. Great choice by coach Schwartz to take him on the team and outsource the coaching of female pros.
Leslie has always seemed alot pompous and a little flaky; but a move from ASU to Tinman is just a really bad move.
I’d love to know how this team is funded with Tinman coaching high schoolers, hunters 50k a year, and maybe one other person on contract.
Who cares
I believe theyre largely funded by their merchandise sales. It’s mentioned in one of their latest videos that the sales from their latest greyscale collection would support the semi-pro members of the team for upwards of 4months - Templton said this money is largely spent on gym, gear , massage and eventually costs of traveling to meets
They hired Cory Leslie to run the women's program??? He didn't even coach women at ASU.
What a joke.

Leaving out the two primary expenses: housing and food. Plus gas, insurance, loan payment on a car unless you bum rides everywhere or cycle. Meaning that unless Mom & Dad are paying those expenses they'll need day jobs. The failure to attract a deep-pockets sponsorship for the group puts them at a competitive disadvantage. I don't know how they think they'll be able to recruit talent to a location with very high COL with so little on offer. Maybe the intention is to bring in women with talent and development well below what OAC recruited, so about the equivalent of the average of the men. They'll probably just shift a few of the women over from TTC and hope to build from there. I honestly don't see this ending well, it just looks like a more slick version of Hudson Elite.
ASU has beet bottom dweller with Cory. Nice guy, but feel like just another “dude” who has parents paying their way. How bad must things be or headed at ASU to take on this volunteer position?

Hunter is on $150k a year....
RE Snowflake Elite & a curious fellow
Merchandise sales, Hunter is on contract, Parsons has/had a small Adidas contract (unsure if still going), and they all work jobs locally either at shoe stores or shipping companies etc - a lot of their vids show Joey B, Sydney, Aaron etc all going to/from work, plus I think Bryan B does freelance art of some kind.
Also lets be honest, they wont be attracting people who are studs. They'll be attracting those who want to be insta-famous and 'pursue the dream' of running. I don't think anyone here expects any of the new recruits to be top tier.
We're talking about athletes on the men's side who are mostly slower than TheAthleteSpecial (no shade at him, but he's having to jump through a hoop just to get a shot at a contract - and he's quicker than them). Just because it says Tinman ELITE doesn't mean we think they're elite.

Did you consider the possibility of ASU dropping sports? Did that even occur to you?
They haven’t dropped it though. They probably proposed a salary cut and he didn’t take it

Yes. That is also a possibility. Cory could have seen into the future.
This is all true. The tangential subtext of my post was: this is insignificant news. I concede that it will be amusing to see who fills this roster. You can bet they'll thrill to race next year's Fortitude 10K, the only race to actually invite them.

No, Dude. That did not occur to us.
Here's a toe...
Swhwartz (as Goodman): "I can get you a toe, Dude. I can get you toe by the time Pearl St closes, Dude."
Judging by the speed in which Cory Leslie's position at ASU was filled, it's clear that he was LET GO from ASU.
It's clear the search process was already well under way at ASU when we received the news that Cory Leslie was going to Tinman. We learned 2 days later that Henner was taking his place. The search process at a state school takes at least a few weeks.
Tinman literally hired a failed coach that was let go from ASU. And Cory Leslie did NOT coach women at ASU and now he's in charge of the Tinman women's team. Horrible hire.
Everything about this post is wrong. Team knew weeks in advance Leslie was leaving. He did coach the women. ASU have an emergency hire process which allowed Henner to fill the position.
Leslie landed some nice grad transfers, couple good runners from Ohio and none have really raced or caught up to where they were upon arrival to Tempe. The big question is if Tinman and Coach Schwartz finally have a sponsor willing to spend some actual money as opposed to equipment, running a T-shirt store or online coaching.
So has Tinman Elite’s sponsorship changed? How will they sign better athletes or women at all to such a bro club?
