In an era of economic hardship, instituting roster limits makes little to no sense. The spots you are cutting are of those who are likely paying their own full cost of attendance, minus any academic or need based aid. These athletes actually make money for the university, are more likely to donate to the school in the future, and will also be instrumental in steering future students to that same university. They are also sterling representatives of the university academically, behaviorally, etc. Somebody with a bigger picture perspective needs to step in and stop such unwise decisions from standing and causing harm to the integrity and image of the flagship university of Minnesota.

Minnesota can't Row the Boat effectively with a bunch of female distance runners. They need to make sure the #4 kicker on the football team has a first class experience.
