So no Cheptegei?
"Valencia Marathon announces the names of the first athletes taking part in its ambitious ‘Elite Edition’
Not yet. Probably he waits to see how he will feel after his 10,000m WR attempt and the World Half.
Also, no Kamworor is disappointing. If he is not announced later, then it's a shame.
Probably he wants to run the NN 15k to gauge his fitness and then decide on Valencia.
Marathon additions
----------------------
Jordan Hasay
Mare Dibaba
Fancy Chemutai
If weather allows, there will be a world record attempt in each event, both full and half marathons
Can I watch online?
No Jakob...
Very nice field. Hopefully there will be races...

great news and tigist girma.
azmera abreha and zeinaba yimer
Usually it's live streamed on the race's website, great coverage.
I think there will be a few more additions. Still 9 weeks to go, i hope Joshua and Kamworor will compete, it has the makings of the greatest ever half marathon.

surely you don't mean on the Men's Marathon side too? Who would that be?
Legese and Yimer said they would like to try, also Atanaw, Cherono will probably follow.
An opening half of just under 61 would be ideal, leaves room for a wr without risking a complete meltdown.

...ah... nothing like a conservative sub 61 half to make sure there is no second half meltdown.

Zero chance at the classic distance WR, but this half will be quicker than the world half champs. Not better field but quicker course. That is the men's.
women's half solely depends whether you get the 15k version of gidey or not. Longer race wont get within 2.30 of the WR
Abdi Nageeye confirmed he will be running too.
I expect some more big names.
Whoa, loaded fields. It really seems like Valencia has popped off in recent years. Would be curious if folks have any more insight on why that's the case. Hopefully these races will be easy to watch. Would have liked to have seen Legese and Cherono mix it up with the London guys. Same for Aga, Dibaba, and Jepchirchir.
Interesting to see Sisson in the half and Hasay in the full for American fans. Potential AR attempts. Not sure what Hasay has been up to but Sisson has already shown that she can run 1:07-mid.
We want Rupp!
