Depends on the type of runner to be honest!
A marathoner would benefit from faster easy running cause easy pace is not too far away from marathon pace.
An 800-1600 runner like me gets no speed benefit from running at 7:00+ pace cause I race at 4:20 pace or faster. because of this, I feel I’m being pretty productive all the way up to 8:10 pace even though I could be running at up to 6:50ish pace and still call it easy.
I guess my point is that easy runs help build your overall endurance, not speed, and serve the double purpose of getting blood to your muscles to help them recover for the next hard effort.
So to answer your question, don’t worry about easy pace, you’ll still get the benefits as long as your heart rate is at least 130 and under 150 from my experience.
