A little foot injury has me unable to run for a few weeks. One thing I can do is strength training exercises for hamstrings (my feet aren't even on the ground). I'm wondering if I put a big emphasis on just this, making my hamstrings (and glutes perhaps) super strong, it will help my running when I come back. My thought is that much of your forward propulsion comes from there so my stride can be long and powerful. In a sense, training specificity.
