Well done to Cox and Rosario. Cox is a goose but he's an innovator who wants to advance the sport and Rosario is a great businessman.
Josh and Ben are holding a marathon for Hoka athletes to chase contract time bonuses. It’s been a tough year, and this is a way for NAZ athletes and Josh to cash in before the year ends.

NOP!
Those turnarounds won't be much of an issue if they push them to the outside of the curve. Looks like a pretty sweeping corner, similar to a 300 meter indoor track, if they do that. Having that kind of loop course will make it easier to get consistent pacing throughout the race.
Given their qualifying criteria, I'd be shocked if they filled their fields. They don't have prizes, correct? Why would 2:10 men /2:25 women show up for no prize? Why do legitimate pros have to pay $150 to show up? Course seems not great. This seems like it's going to be a train wreck.
That's an old map. I train there quite often and they've built lots of new roads in that area with it being on the native reservation (they are building more resort type areas there). There are quite a few big loops you can do and it's super flat with nice asphalt underfoot. At that time of year, weather will be perfect.
as mentioned above. contract bonuses.
As long as Josh Cox doesn't do the commentary, (self promotion for 3 hours), I'll tune in.
