His 7:27 suggest he is at least in 12:50-12:55 shape (IAAF scoring tables gives a 12:47 & 26:40 equivalent performance, but I think that is pushing it a little bit).
So if he can run 12:50-12:55, he probably can run 26:55-27:05, I mean, right now. With specific training, maybe 26:40-26:50.
I don't think his performance would suffer too much by moving up in distance, except for the half and marathon of course as he and his training both are very endurance based already.
But the guy who said that he could run 26:30 is a bit delusional, unless he's saying that he has the potential to run 26:30 one day, because of course he has.

As stated in other threads:
Jakob´s 1500m PB 3:28.68 indicates a 5000m time at 12:45.
And his 3000m PB at 7:27 indicates a 5000m time at 12:47.
So unless you think Jakob is weaker relatively in the 5000m this is where he is right now. The numbers are not lying. And Jakob stated just before this season that he considered the 5000m to be his best distance at the moment (the HM in the long term).
From the 5000m time you can find the 10,000m time by doubling and adding I minute. That gives a 10,000m time between 26:30 and 26:35.
I am not saying that Jakob could run that fast tomorrow or next week but I think he could do it this year with some relevant preparations. He already has the aerobic base to run that fast.

We might get an indication already later this year since Gjert - as you possible know - have disclosed that Jakob will run some 10km road races in the autumn.
One of the 10kms will most likely be the Norwegian "Hytteplanmilen" which haven´t got a route suitable for very fast times. So it will be interesting to see which other 10km(s) the Ingebrigtsens have in mind.
