I don't know why I even had hopes that this might be a legit thread.
I could probably run 50 or 70 miles provided I had water/gels
without water/gels...30 miles probably? would be awful after mile 22

Probably 10K, but it would be close for time. If I can't run 10K in less than an hour, then it's time for me to reconsider the whole running thing.
Age 60, stiff knee. Last run was 9 days ago, and like your experience, the walks are becoming more enjoyable.

You sounded smug and dumb on another thread. Why are you here?
Ahhh, another classic Greg.
If he realizes that he can't win, he gets nasty.
You don't have anything on me. But it sounds like you are fit, so way to go. If you can run a marathon right now you are incredibly fit.

Greg, we know you. You have offered a lot of insight in your life. From twitter, to TV interviews to letsrun comments.
Great job Dan
10 miles and feel ok. I'm over 60.
Or a coach?
For someone that doesn’t run is sure offering coaching and rehab advice.
I already finished a 7 mile run and strength workout 2 hours ago and just crushed a 1000+ calorie meal. On top of that I feel so sleepy. I'd say I could probably go 10 miles right now at a slow pace if I didn't throw up or fall asleep before making it out the door.

Don't sell yourself short. You can easily bet Greg at anytime of the day.
I see Greg at least once a week walking around in town and complaining about the homeless.

What is your name? You really think I walk around town complaining about the homeless?
I was interviewed about it. How would you feel with an encampment blocks away from where you live? Shouldn't you focus on your own life instead of mine?

Get a job!

Greg, I am honored to know the second most famous person in Edmonton, after our beloved Mayor of course. How can we focus on anything else when you flood this forum with threads?

You'd probably feel fine running a marathon at easy pace without gel
Depends on what we consider running. As a guy that focuses on 800/1500 I’m never running slower than 8:00 pace. At faster than 8:00 pace I’d imagine I max out somewhere between a marathon and 30 miles.
If we are talking 10-12 minute miles, I’d think as long as I have water, gu, and vaseline, I could run ultra distances.
At least 100 miles. I was overtrained when I did run 100 miles and I didn't have to, so if I had to at least that far.
I hope most of you guys are joking. I was running 30 miles a week with an occasional long run of 14 miles when I was 72. I had to quit a year and a half ago because of hip tightness. I know a 73 year old woman who runs every day and runs 40+ miles a week.
Joking? Why?
I know 80 year olds who still run in 24 hour competitions and get 100 miles done in less than 2 days. Not everybody is so out of shape like Greg.
This is an interesting question.
Do you mean if I had to, such as fleeing some kind of disaster?
I really don't know, and not sure I could answer the question until I was in the situation.
I will say it's probably farther than I think.
Don't run. It's unhealthy.
LOL, 0/10
