Hey all, I’m a senior in high school. I just turned 17, I’m 5’7” and around 120-125lbs.
My prs from junior year are 4:56 1600m, 10:42 3200m and 17:55 5k XC. This was all off of 35 mile weeks over the summer and 25-30 during the season.
Over the summer I averaged around 50 miles a week, with 2 weeks at 60. This include many 10-12 mile long runs, tempos and strides. Some recent workouts I’ve done I’ve over the past few weeks include:
5 mile tempo at 6:28 pace
10x800 w 90 sec rest - Started at 2:55 and got down to 2:40 (was told to start fairly easy then progress faster)
4x(1000, 800) w 90 seconds rest - kind of a weird workout but averaged 3:28 for the Ks and 2:45 for the 800s.
In the mid-end of august I did a mile time trial on a cross country course with a hill in trainers and ran 5:05. My first race is October 2nd and I was wondering what time you think I’ll be around for the 5k.
