I did. And watched the Tour de France, which went off.
The world isn't totally shut down, I didn't see SJD in Omaha though, weird.

I am from Ralston...last time I ran it was a few years ago. I loved the out-and-back mainly flat course. It does not show off the better parts of Omaha to visitors, but I am not a visitor and mostly I am just looking for a fast race. I was FLOORED that the half winner did 1:05 on a significantly windy morning.
Even though Omaha Marathon is not a monster big race, and they put safeguards in place, I did not want to run it this year for Covid concerns. To original poster: hope you enjoyed it + I would also be curious of the specifics on their safety plan (more waves start, fluid stations, etc...)
I wore a Rupp-like mask, started about 45 minutes after the first wave, and had my wife meet me by bike five times with water. I would have worn my Ralston Rams singlet if I still had one.

Holy cats! I won the half many years ago in 1:08:high and thought I was big stuff. Does the half still go through the zoo? I am a flat lander and thought that course was a bit hilly. When you said that the marathon was not too bad it had me thinking that they have rerouted it?
I ran it. How did you like the measurement?

Currently the Omaha Marathon course does not go through the zoo and is very different from the old loop course. The "HITS" company bought the rights to the Omaha Marathon and changed the course to a flat out and back. The first time they did this new route was I believe in 2013. I ran Omaha from 2004-2010 and 2012-2014. Pre 2013 it was VERY hilly...especially the first half...2nd half flattened a bit for the full marathon.
i ran.
27 miles is a bit long for a marathon, no?
Obviously gps can't be expected to be 100% accurate, but I knew my chances of getting a BQ were blown when mine was showing me almost a mile longer than the markers on the course.
The guard probably took half entries in that race!
Scooter!
84 here. If you can name.name at gmail the fastest XC person the year before your senior year, hit me up.
race should never have happened. already reports of covid positives from those who raced.
Reports? Where are these reports? Nothing on any of the Omaha news sites.
Boring lame course, no challenge, for the weak
