Looks like we not goin' Sizzler!
Man I thought they went bankrupt 30 years ago. I haven't seen one in forever... I wonder if the "steak" were as bad as I remember....
Who?

Not bad, just a little tough, but tasty.
The steak chain restaurants are a big part of why we have such horrific feed lots for raising cattle. The steak chain industry got the FDA to adjust their grading system so cheap meat would get a grade A. Good ridance.

The FDA is definitely responsible for screwing up the meat industry at the hands of lobbies. I haven't been to Sizzler for a long time. From what I recall I don't remember much resembling Grade A by any standard. I thought now it was a low-end menu and a disgusting buffet with a confusing mix of cuisines.
I file this one under the category of should have gone under years ago and good riddance.

As a student in the '70s it was the only "steak" place I could afford. Surprisingly, there are still quite a few left in CA, but it's probably been 40 years since I've been to one.
Its funny. I was just driving by one the other day and almost though of going in just for old times sake. Last time I was in Sizzler I think was in the late 1980s.
Haven't eaten in there in ages but it was a pretty good deal when hungry. The cheese toast was like a dessert I saved for the end.
We're losing all the good ones -- Sizzler, Ponderosa Steak House, Big Boy, etc.
All for "fast casual" like Chipotle and Qdoba. Who can even tell the difference between those two? I sure can't.
