What kind of shape would I be in from looking at hr/pace? Did a ladder workout and ran 10:58 for two miles, with an average hr of 121 bpm, and the second mile with a hr of 130 bpm. Mainly a 5k/10k runner

There are metrics that may give you an idea, based on where your HR was at relative to your HRmax. (You could also compare where you were as a % of your HR reserve.)

But using such a metric would only make some sense if you are performing a continuous rep of at least...2-4mins, with the longer duration a better guide. Whereas, when you say 'ladder', that's pretty meaningless, depending what it consisted of.
