I’ve posted about this before but now that I have more details I figured I would post it again... my xc season got delayed a bit and I now have my first meet on October 1 with meets on the 6 10 13 24 29 (team scrimmage on the 29) and championships on the 14 of November. I am wondering how I should structure my in season mileage to best prepare for this Season and give myself the best chance to run fast times while still being ready to run fast for championships... I know it’s tough to find a peak because I feel like I’m picking either early season to peak for or one race in November to peak for but I’m curious to see what you guys think. Also for numbers so you could help me out more, I averaged 65-70 miles a week over the summer and the winter prior to that I averaged 60. I have ran 4:43 in the mile as well as a 10 min 2 mile and my ultimate goal is 15:55 in the 5k. So how would you guys map out the in season mileage in if you were me?
