Subject says it all...
Is Nike discontinuing the Peg Turbo line, and replacing with the Next% Tempo.
$20 Price hike to boot.

The worst part is that I’ve heard the tempo isn’t great :(
Hey, the first customer review on the Nike site says they are great for weightlifting and walking around. Much better than the Alphafly and Vaporfly for non-running ?♂️

So it is true then?
I have to buy up the leftover stock, love the turbos, not impressed by the tempo next% from reviews I have seen.
First Nike stopped selling the Zoom Elites (best trainer ever made). Then they destroyed the Pegasus with extra cushioning. This is unsurprising. Reebok still makes their pebax trainers, so that's still an option.
That shoe looks like a 16x9 movie shown in 4:3. Three thumbs down.
Turbo 2 wasn't nearly as comfy as the first one anyway and didn't have that cool stripe. I'd say they killed it with the second version so they've just taken it off life support.
There isn't really anything in the Nike lineup which is suitable for me. The pegasus 37 is quite heavy and clunky, the vomero is too heavy, turbos discontinued, zoom fly 3 is too tall and clunky, epic react is unstable for harder efforts... then everything else is too expensive and sold out.
It amazes me that the shoes are sold out. It has to be on purpose to build "buzz" around them.
Perhaps try a different brand? New balance seems to fit my typical Nike foot. The tc and rc trainers are pretty dope

+1 It is rather hard to look at, isn't it?
I've ran in both Turbos. Both are the bomb. The Turbo 1's have about 60 miles on them, while the Turbo 2's have maybe 100 miles tops before they are done.
I own the Peg 27's are they are OK. Pretty clunky compared the turbos and not as soft. I'm very frustrated at Nike's decision to kill the Turbo based on their near universal praise. It makes very little sense to me.
They kept the Lunaracer around for 9 to 10 years - which I also loved - and I think the Turbo's deserved the same treatment.

Yes! Though not as cushy as a Turbo, if anyone liked the Zoom Elite they should love the Run Fast 2.

I have 450 miles in my Turbo 2 and they still feel great. I don't know what people do to their shoes to make them breakdown in only 100 miles or less.

Until you actually try it, you might do well to keep an open mind. I got a pair early, and they’re probably the best feeling nikes I’ve ever run in. I bought 2 more pair on Monday.
I've seen pictures of what they are calling the ZoomX HyperFly that looks like it has the same midsole as the turbos with an atomknit upper
They have come back onto the Nike UK website in several colourways all sizes available.

Former multiple Turbo owner and Nike fanboy here:
For everyday training get some Saucony Speeds instead.
If you want to spend more money for a fast day shoe, get the Fuelcell RCs. They're more like the original 4%s, which means they're softer, lighter and faster than the Turbos.

This is what I did and I'm loving it so far. They feel fantastic. Goldilocks zone of bounce/firmness/cushion IMO.
