It was just sickening watching all of these people crossing the street as the runners were finishing.

Yes I’ve done that race. Yes you’re overreacting. Yes no one cares about runners. Yes I wish I ran that year because I would have won and everyone loves a pop sickle stick. No it’s not a big deal.

No. No one crossed near a runner, closest I saw was someone crossing maybe 20m in front of a runner. It looks like your regular local 5 race. Looks like a very well run event. You are wrong!

The train!!! Did you run that year?
Chicago Marathon the year everyone slipped for the win.
The worst managed races are the ones that "go virtual" (read: cancel), and then keep everyone's money.
Oh man, the little kid dressed as Spiderman at 20:00, great find.
I've been watching transfixed, hitting the forward arrow to speed through. Watching the crowd on the sidelines inch ever closer to the center of the road, narrowing the space bit by bit. It's stressing me out; I hate when spectators do that at XC meets.

If you would have won, you would have won. You didn't.
Show up or STFU.

The woman at 10:25 finishing in under 24 minutes while pusing a stroller with 2 kids is more amazong.
Are NCAA track and XC athletes allowed to race in these events? I suspect that they cannot because of prize money.
No, the finish line management is perfectly acceptable. What brings a tear to my eye is wishing I could finish a 5K in under 27, 18, 19, 20 minutes again. These days it would be a struggle to come in under 21. I still miss getting out there and gi ing my all ... Screw Covid!
I fail to see any issue. No one crossed in front of a runner or interrupted a runner's stride. It's a small , local race! It actually looks like every local race I ran in for over 40 years. No issues.

You’re thread high jacking your own thread. You can’t back up anything in your title and refuse to respond to your critics. You, sir, are a troll.

what is are you talking about?
I dont' get it. Looks like the finish line of every local 5k ever. What am I missing?

you not is paid attention see how them walk across the finish in front of runners
I am glad others noted that it did not appear to be all that bad. I did not watch the whole thing so if you have a time stamp where someone crossing the course caused an issue, then I may reconsider.
Yes, NCAA athletes can enter and win. They 1) can decline the prize money or 2) they may be able to keep some of it depending what expenses were involved in them running.

He's back and while he was banned or whatever kept him off, he brushed up on trolling skills.
